Well - I thought we could all use some good news.
Was up in the wee hours of the morning watching TCT.TV and this Sid Roth Program comes on (It's Supernatural).
The host interviewed a man named John Fenn.
John has done some unusual things.
You will need to watch the video at the link to learn more.
But the one thing that really made me smile was that John Fenn who was "caught up into heaven" like the Apostle Paul was:
2 Corinthians 12:2: 2I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago--whether in the body I do not know, or out of the body I do not know, (B)God knows--such a man was caught up to the (D)third heaven.
Yes, you’re right. I am thinking that maybe as we near the time when we will see our beloveds in the clouds when Jesus returns and takes up all those who belong to Him and who are alive on this earth - that maybe those dear departed souls are just so eager for this soon to occur reunion - that sometimes they are breaking through from heaven - to let their loved ones know they are going to see them soon! Yours is going to see you soon! Hallelujah! (That is just an insight into a possible happening - not for sure).

Exactly - why not? God saved all those animals on Noah’s Ark- make sense He wants them with us - and may even be going to “rapture” them up with all who belong to Jesus at that next great event in history!
One of the things I read that made a lot of sense was when you are grieving if the departed revealed themselves to us — for example in our dreams — would we even get out of bed... probably not and that would retard the purpose we have to live out here on earth, the departed have completed their set journey and we have to complete our own journey before we join them on the other side. This is why most mediums say don’t even try making contact until you are well into dealing with your loss... but I do know, for a fact, my husband was very much present in the beginning, the dogs let me know when he was here.

How grateful we are that Jim Robinson (used of God) brought Free Republic into being and keeps it going....not only for all the ways it serves to bring the TRUTH about what is going on before us all.
But also how it can be a place and a way through which Jesus can speak to us in this day and time about His great love for each of us and about His great Plan for each of us and about His AWESOME plan for this country, this world, and for all our beloveds for whom we pray! Including our beloved animals!
Is God good or What?
Nothing in this glorifies God or explains the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As such, it is spurious theology and we encourage you to drop it.
In this much, we are in complete agreement. I think that this guy was eating mushrooms out of the same source that Joseph Smith used to create the Book of Mormon.
Scripture is about who God is, and our need to repent & believe, and how we should live to follow Him. As such, it leaves a lot of stuff out, which is why systematic theology texts mix a lot of philosophy in.
Where scripture is silent, we just don't know. And I'm not too trusting of some guy on TV who says he has visited heaven, and learned what God didn't reveal to the prophets or apostles!
However, there is this:
"19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies." - Romans 8
My suspicion is that heaven will be a much bigger and more incredible place than most preachers think about...
“Let’s say Fido was raised by a loving family but they moved away and the owners couldn’t take him with them so they gave him away to another family that loved the dog just as much and then that family was killed in a tragic accident so the dog was adopted by still another family that loved the dog until it passed away.”
” 23The same day Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection, and they asked him a question, 24saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up children for his brother.’ 25Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no children left his wife to his brother. 26So too the second and third, down to the seventh. 27After them all, the woman died. 28In the resurrection, therefore, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had her.”
29But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 31And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.” 33And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.” - Matt 22
It will be different, and we don’t know many details.
Revelation gives some tantalizing hints, but I think that John simply didn't have the words to describe what he saw in his vision. I agree with your statement and would take it to the point that nobody could ever conceive of its full description.
