Those who continue to go without coverage will have to pay a penalty to the IRS, except in cases of financial hardship. Fines vary by income and family size. For example, a single person making $45,000 would pay an extra $1,125 in taxes when the penalty is fully phased in, in 2016.

Heil, Obama!

Don’t you see, now that it is already falling apart it’s so very clear that the Democrats were duped by those evil Republicans into passing this bill.

Those evil Republicans! They are so tricky! *shakes fist*

If the Republicans had a bad idea, and the Dems stole it, what does that say about the Dems?

Republicans were for President Barack Obama's requirement that Americans get health insurance before they were against it. The obligation in the new health care law is a Republican idea that's been around at least two decades. ... Mitt Romney, weighing another run for the GOP presidential nomination, signed such a requirement into law at the state level as Massachusetts governor in 2006.

What a hit piece by the AP. The state/Federal dividing line is much stronger than political party lines and is one the AP completely dodges in this pice. One is etched in stone in the US constitution while the other is merely a set of policies that dictate how a country should solve its problems.

We can all question Mitt's core values because of the legislation he signed into law, but the legislation was for a state and presumably within the legal limits of the state's constitution. The current federal level law violates states rights in multiple dimensions.

New health insurance requirement ... was GOP idea

__________________________________________________

Another misleading headline from the Ass. Press? Why, I’m shocked!

Should read: New health insurance requirement ... was MITT ROMNEY idea

Read the article. It’s all about Romneycare and how it is similar to Obamacare. But then, why would anyone expect journalistic integrity from the MSM?

It was an idea by specific Republicans, it wasn’t a CONSERVATIVE idea. What the press doesn’t realize is this isn’t a battle of party versus party but ideology versus ideology. An R or D behind a name doesn’t always guarantee they fit into a specific ideology.

They find one of the worst aspects of the bill and lay it at the feet of the party that VOTED NO.

Aint gonna work.

IMO, this is a sign that they know this bill is toxic.
