I do agree. On the other hand, a "worst case scenario" may be a massive die-off in the US in which the only survivors are self-reliant people who want the rest of society to just leave them the hell alone.

Did I say "worst case"?

Certainly a possibility. I know all I want from my guvmt is to leave me alone. But they can’t can they? I must pay attention to them b/c they are oh so important. I just read a Denninger piece over at the Market Ticker that indicates we could have financed all deficit spending from 1988 to 2009 by printing money rather than incurring debt and interest and that would have resulted in an inflation of about 2.5%. That is NOT per year that is over the ENTIRE period. You know our masters know this. What the h@ll has been going on in DC?
