An out-of-control mohawked man went on an airport assault in Miami early this morning, tussling with workers and police before he was finally tasered and arrested.
Michael John Jones, 43, was arrested shortly after 2 a.m. after police said he went berserk inside one of the concourses at MIA.
According to a police report, Jones attacked two men without warning inside Concourse H, approaching them with fists clenched and then throwing a metal luggage cart at them.
The cart missed, but Jones wasn't finished. He got a hold of one of the victims and started punching him in the face, the report said.
When officers arrived and confronted Jones, he wasn't going quietly. He refused to get on the ground until he was threatened with getting Tasered. He finally did lay on the ground, but then got up and advanced on the officer.
The Taser didn't work at first, but when it finally did, it didn't stop Jones initially, and he reached the officer and began pummeling him.
Backup arrived, and the officers were able to wallop Jones into submission, but not before he was Tasered twice more.
An airport source said Jones had been outside the area earlier, punching taxi cab hoods. The source said he'd heard the man was a released prisoner who came in on a plane from Costa Rica, but police haven't verified that.
Jones was arrested and charged with assault, battery and resisting arrest with violence. His arrest photo showed his scruffy face bruised and a cut below his right eye.
I hear ya. The hardest part is channeling that energy into something legal and productive. It isn’t easy.
I think I saw that guy — in a free trial of World of Warcraft.

I would light that guy up if he even looked at me the wrong way.
Here's his brother.
LOL! The white Sox scumbags!
Was that quintessential sowt side, or what?
I need an Old Style.
Hey! I know that guy!
And you know what? I probably should strip my shirt before going-up against the likes of him. Tactical advantage, and all that. Thanks for reminding me.

What does this mean?
Nice pen. I think I like the looks of the 1155 series. :)
It was several years ago but the last time my wife and I flew out of Miami there was a similar incident. Some dude gets into a “tussle” with the TSA, well let’s be polite and call them somewhat-obese, ladies who, of course were unable to respond properly or adequately. Police were called and it ended the same way. Caused the terminal to be shut down for an hour, delaying flights. Several of us passengers offered to supply justice while we were forced to wait. Must be the neighborhood, huh?
Give NBC a break. It did say “wallop into submission” rather than “kicked his butt”.
I wondered what the whole article meant. LOL I could not stop laughing. I can’t believe the writer gets a paycheck.
It was pretty stupid. You know, back in the late 1980s when I went back to college to get my degree they were having to test new high school grads before they let them take regular classes. If they didn’t pass a reading test they had to take some remedial stuff (the professors were complaining that incoming freshmen couldn’t write an essay answer). I passed it with no problem, but lots of the kids didn’t. And believe me, it was so easy, a smart 7th graders should have done well. I can’t imagine journalism school attracts the cream of the crop....
But, the real question I now have is, are they simply releasing prisoners in Costa Rica and sending them here??
