My husband and I have discussed ways to mitigate the punitive taxes that will be even greater next year. We have been saving like crazy and are thinking of "Going Galt" like the character in Ayn Rand's book, Atlas Shrugged. John Galt, an industrial leader, drops out of a corrupt and unjust system until it implodes. Anyone else thinking along those lines?
yup
Do you own a home?
c-ya.
Don’t give anymore money to Socialist run charities. They are going to steal our tax dollars to give to people who refuse to work.
Was thinking about that this afternoon. Figuring out how i can get the rest of the stuff needed to finish my house without paying the taxes and what not. I think I am going to have to put on my creative hat.
Who is John Galt?
I have my sights on 5-6 acres with small house and barn. A couple of cows, a few chickens, a garden and we can live just fine.
We bought our farm in central Kentucky last August. The Fed Gov even paid us $8k for doing it. We can be completely self sufficient there. And even if the $234 a year property tax DOUBLES, we can live there for quite a while spending almost nothing.
Yes. Buy goods from overseas, where possible.
But the best way to starve the beast is if we ALL refuse to purchase health insurance and NOT pay taxes.
Yep...working on it. May even end up overseas.
Sure, but it’s easier for a fictional character to do so to get a political point across than you or I to actually do it.
That is what they are hoping for. For people that are against them to realize this and surrender. It’s part of the plan.

Yep. It should be given directly to those organizations you have researched, and then only locally.
This year I've changed the name of my vegetable gardens from ‘victory garden’ to;
.....THE JOHN GALT MEMORIAL GARDENS
Anyone else thinking along those lines?
Yes, everyone.
Is there a place where we can all of like mind go to now, a state, where we can succeed? I say we all move to Texas. Im already here but we have plenty of room

And that is why they keep extending unemployment benefits. As Celente says, when people lose everything and have nothing to lose, they lose it.
We are about to be tested as to our strength compared to our founding fathers. One of the things they gave up was their comfort. Are we willing to do the same?
Anyone else thinking along those lines?
Every second of every day.
