Facebook is allot of things, but not a fad.

Same thing was said about myspace......and whoever talks about that now? That was going to be "the thing" forever! 10 years may as well be a million when it comes to the internet.

While facebook itself might be a fad social networking sites are not. You keep mentioning how facebook supplanted myspace as proof that facebook will go away, but you’re missing that they’re both social networking sites. The site that supplants facebook will also be a social networking site.
