Seven questions, name, age, race, total number of people living here and then you have to list the names of those living there, relationship and race.
no signature required.
The government always divides by race.
A neighbor of ours is our local census person. Came around today. I gave her a bit of good natured grief and took the form. Mrs NHD talked to her about what the Constitution requires and she had no idea. I then told her she had a thankless task and she went on her way.
Friends of ours (husband and wife) have both been hired by the Census - they are strict Constitutionalists. We’re really looking forward to the after action report!
Just got mine, marked the number and sealed it up.
Well, I just thought everyone should know what they are getting into, that’s all. I didn’t answer the 2000 Census at all, and they haven’t found me yet... LOL ...
Of course, I have to keep on the move to keep one step ahead of them and never sleep in the same place more than one night... but other than that, it’s been no problem... :-)
Yeah, just think of it this way... if you don’t answer it for your household and you wonder how all those minorities got all those benefits... now you know... the Census worker filled it in for you and your household became all minorities... LOL...
That was good. Really had the census guy going.
Not sending one in at all is probably the best route to take. And then, when you don’t send it in, disappear for a while. If they catch you, then you can say, “What Census? I never got one!” ... LOL ...

Funny, but scary too under this new world order government.
i put a post it in mine that says what the hell does race have to do with a head count?
Thanks for the info, not shooting the messenger, but sorry Dude, it is time we just deem the constitution to say we count every ten years. “in such manner as they shall by Law direct” only means they can count us by the best ways available every ten years- not what questions they decide they want to ask. Have we not deemed it so?
What a nation of wimps if we can not even withdraw consent from this wicked government on this tiny little exercise of liberty. Again Dude, I am not holding you out as a promoter of filling out all the questions or not- you don’t say what your position is. So this is not a reprimand- as if you cared! Thanks again for the link.
Since 1790 - no citizen has ever actually been fined for refusal to answer any or all of the census questions
Ummmm..., about now, I would be making sure your IP address can't be traced back to your home address... LOL ...
Just mailed mine off. Answered honestly and completely. Even included my actual phone number. I'm not going to risk my security clearance in a pissing contest with the Census Bureau.

Well..., it's just that the census has been trying to figure out why "white males" are disappearing in our country... doncha know... LOL...
Before 1850 they only asked for numbers and name of head of household so it is extremely hard to trace you ancestors before 1850. About the only question this year that wasn’t on the 1850 census was your telephone number and a question about being Hispanic. I didn’t mind any question that was on the 1850 survey as it will help genealogists 100 years from now and I didnt mind the Hispanic question or giving my phone number.

It's like I said, I'm a firm believer in Civil Disobedience, as long as one has "taken stock" of what they are willing to endure... :-)
And if you have a higher risk than you're willing to pay -- then, no..., don't bother making a "silly statement"... LOL ...
It's like the people who say to not pay your taxes, to protest... that's fine, too. All I say is just be willing to do the time and pay the fine... if you get caught... that's all...
It's no big deal, if you can do it...
Yeah, I did the same. For the last census I received the long form. I completed it, but the more I thought about it the angrier I got. This time I figure if Congress doesn’t have to obey its own laws than neither do I. I’ll just follow the Constitution and provide an enumeration.
Heh! Good one!
Read previous post. There are laws governing the creation of minority majority districts in some states. Doesn’t mean that one has to be straightforward in one’s response. It’s just a rationale for asking in some states.
Declaration To Make To Census Takers "I hereby affirm that the provisions of Title 13 ``requiring'' me to disclose my race, personal financial data, birthdate, or any other personal, private information to the Bureau of the Census, an agency of the United States government; constitutes an unreasonable, unwarranted search of my person, house, papers, and/or effects; and a governmental invasion of the sanctity of my home and the privacies of life. As such, these provisions violate the Fourth Amendment of the US Constitution, and are thus wholly void and I am not bound to obey them.
I have completed the only those sections of the Census form pertaining to the Constitutionally-mandated actual enumeration, as follows:
The actual number of people living at the address printed on the form, excluding untaxed Native Americans;
Age of each person in accordance with US Const. Amendment XIV, Section 2.
Sex of each person, in accordance with US Const. Amendment XIV, Section 2.
I have thus fulfilled my obligation to the attainment of the actual enumeration of the populace of the United States.
Any fine or other sanction that is levied by any office or organization stemming from the unconstitutional provisions of Title 13 in connection with my response to this or any other Census-related questioning will be challenged in a court of law."
RACE: HUMAN!
No problem, once it gets back to the office, they'll correct it for you. It will end up being either Hispanic or Black, depending on which group needs bigger numbers for Congressional funding programs, doncha know... LOL ...
