I don’t know anyone who likes IE including me. I would fear to get IE9.

I tried IE7, didn’t like, uninstalled. I haven’t tried IE8.

I use an IE6 based tabbed browser for FR. It has some editing add-ons that are no longer available and do not support IE7 or later. I’m not giving those up just to run IE9.

That is also part of the reason why I am apprehensive of upgrading to Win7. I hear it won’t run DOS programs and won’t run many older Windows programs. I have some of both and there are not newer versions or comparable software available. Win7 Home does not have the XP window, and if I have to run an XP window, why upgrade to the more expensive Win7 versions?

I don't know anyone who actually uses IE8 and doesn't like it. I have heard of such people, but luckily, never met one. IE8 is the best browser on the planet.
