Sorry but your experience is the exact opposite of mine. Just bringing IE8 up is annoying, painfully slow, rougher than a New Mexico highway, ugly UI, runs lousy even without even visiting a site. Recommend pretending it doesn’t exist.

Sorry but I'll take my own very long great experience with IE8 over yours any day, given that I have been using IE8 since beta for over 2 years.
I know the open source crazies are usually quick to spew out anti-Microsoft garbage on every Microsoft thread anywhere on the internet. Fortunately most people don't pay them any mind. IE is still # 1 and Windows is still # 1 in market share.
