I intend to answer “mixed” and let them figure out what is mixed. My sister in law had a DNA ancestry test done and my wife’s family has distant Native American genes. I have traced my ancestry back to the 1600’s in Europe and probably have a variety of genes too. The race designation is self assessed so they can’t argue.

The government splits “hairs” over all other classifications but “white” is lumped together and there is no question of faith (our government recognizes differences of sex, creed, and color, so why not tabulate?
