What are the minimum questions to answer on the short form census?
PLEASE! if you don't know the LEGAL answer, don't make stuff up. I'm not looking for opinion, I'm looking for facts, backed up by a link.
This will be very helpful for a lot of folks.
There are two different forms. Now I have forgotten the names. One is huge and they say takes 30 minutes to fill out. Michelle Malkin has the story I beleive.
Another strategy is to claim the 5th amendment when/if the census bureau asks about your form. Remember it’s a crime to refuse to fill it out or give wrong answers.
Census: “Did you return your form, we didn’t get it?”
You: “The post office may have lost it...”
Census: “We didn’t get it...Please fill it out again”
You: “I take the 5th”
Census: “What? It’s a federal crime to not answer or give wrong answers. Did you fill out the census?”
You: “I take the 5th.”
Remember, to convict you, they must have evidence that you didn’t fill out the form or gave wrong answers. DON’T GIVE THEM THE EVIDENCE.
Here’s another one:
Question 4. What is your telephone number? We may call if we don’t understand an answer.
THEY provide the answers, WE just check a box. Why would they provide us with answers that they wouldn’t understand?
Thank God for Caller ID
What’s the fine for writing illegibly (except for the words FU Obama) like I did?
And IRS audits. Interviews of your neighbors and employer. CPS getting called, etc., etc.
These days, so many people depend on the government for all kinds of help that I think actual resistance to answering the questions will be minimal. What they give you they can also take away.
Demand PROOF that none of their employees are from ACORN.
Ah, now we have it! The IRS can get involved.....
LOL...yep...tell them you don't give out information to criminal enterprises ; )
Wait until Beck and Limbaugh get a hold of this...they have been prepping this for ages; and they make a blunder like this??? Mail it in NOW with info you can't accurately determine for another two weeks? LOLOL!
Uh oh, I went to do a search on twitter for census. Lotta outrage over Negro being placed as a race. YIKES!!
Americans asking WTH is Negro?

The illegal aliens a few houses down from me just got all new appliances, including top-of-the-line Sears front loader, because of a new baby born to illegal parents (additional welfare). Obama rebate too, I suppose.
Well, I doubt you're going to find that in a written threat but anytime the government puts you in the "bad boy" category you're eligible for special IRS support services.
"How do I know the information I give you will be kept confidential?AND THE REPLY RECEIVED FROM THE CENSUS WAS:The law requires that the Census Bureau must carefully protect the information you provide and hold it in complete confidence. We will publish only statistics from this survey, not any information that could identify you or anyone else personally. All Census Bureau interviewers take an oath of confidentiality.
***EMPHASIS***If an interviewer or other Census Bureau employee breaks this oath and discloses ANY information that could identify you or your household, that person can be fined up to $250,000 and/or sent to prison for up to 5 years.***EMPHASIS***
But that's not exactly true, right? If I answer a question falsely, the employee can disclose THAT information that would identify me to the court system?"
"The U.S. Census Bureau relies on respondents to answer correctly to the best of their knowledge. Title 13 restrictions apply to all employees regardless of whether or not they are aware of false answers. Your answers cannot be used in a court of law."I don't know if that helps or not.
Just think of your descendants doing research on your family tree in 100 yrs or so! What info do they really need ? I see my ancestors answered the census. Most have name and age and not all have race but some have race, some have type of employment and relationship to others in the household.
They do not need to really know more than that basic info either. I think I will answer the questions with my many descendants in mind!
I would and will answer them all.
They have been asking names (at least of of the head of household) since the 1790 Census.
They have getting more details about the household since the 1800, 1801, 1820, and 1830 censuses. It is difficult to argue that questions that were asked when the founders who wrote the Constitution were also writing the census laws are now somehow unconstitutional.
The Constitution orders the census and gives the Congress broad latitude on how to run it. Whether the current census is too intrusive is a political question of policy, not a Constitutional question.
1801 = 1810
