Things are fine. a few things we were waiting on happened for the good, so I'm happy.

Met with one of foster sons docotrs this past Saturday. and expressed my concern over the number of hours sleep he takes to function. The dr. reduced son's medication, which is what I wanted. Son thinks his ADHD is a reason to excuse his behavior. I say that kind of thinking is a crutch for not "growing up" and for not using the skills already learned to do the right thing. For instance, it is easier to put on ankle socks than to find crew socks which are warmer in the winter. He thinks he has too many clothes; I say he has too many "toys" like bionicals, connects, the DS with games, and a million little pastic parts to some kond of "sets".

He doesn't like any kind of sport - has never played them. He doesn't like any kind of music, movie, or game that is not connected somehow with mythological monsters, etc.

I am slowly breaking these things away from him for his own good.

It sounds like your are teaching him the way many of us were taught.

Good for you!
