For more than a week, a mysterious pulsating light has been appearing nightly over Lake Erie east of downtown Cleveland showing up at approximately 7:30 pm and zipping around in the darkness for about two hours before disappearing reports MSNBC. Captured on film from various angles, it's now drawing nightly crowds at the lakefront. While Nick Pope, former chief UFO investigator at the British defense ministry, calls it a "significant sighting," some of the UFO's fans do not exactly inspire faith: "I have absolutely no expertise in this field, but I can guarantee you that it is not human!" says Eugene Erlich, a local college student who has been videotaping the lights. Here are a couple of similar items...
Helicopter drone controlled with iPhone
Even an ordinary RC winged aircraft with a light could do the trick as long as the craft is in line of sight of the controller.
The mothership has finally come back for Kucinich?
I should try this....really....I’m series...

Intergalactic travel tours- and they pick-Cleveland?
Lets assume for a minute that UFOs are real, extra-terrestrial visitors from the far reaches of space. What we see is proof of a culture that has achieved real space travel and yet they just do flyovers.
They don’t seem interested in any of the spots WE consider important, but spend all that time and fuel checking out mundane areas. It’s like going to Paris and touring gas stations and backyard vegetable gardens.
If the UFO’s are really tourists checking out weird planets like we go through a zoo, they seem rather low-end tourists at that.
Even real economical tourists eventually get off the bus, or want to feed the giraffes or something.
What a glaring waste of technology to have the ability to go to other planets and never do more than gawk out the window. Maybe they’re repulsed and afraid- but keep coming back, or recommend friends : “ Gort, you gotta see this place!”
I don’t have much respect for any alien who picks THIS planet- in a universe full of them- to spend time and nuclear fuel visiting.
Dry cleaning bags filled with marsh gas.
I wonder what kind of light to use? Batteries? It maybe to heavy...*looks at plans*...
That could be it! Alien toupees looking for a lost brother.
Or - more likely- it’s Wookiees, searching for the colony they left hear ages ago( Bigfoot/Yeti to us.)
There - I’ve explained UFO’s and Bigfoot!
When I was a kid, my brother and I built a kind of Chinese lantern (candles, plastic dry cleaning bag, kite sticks) and eventually got it to fly.
But after a huge effort, not a d@mn soul noticed.
Eeek- left HERE not hear.
That’s a pretty nifty kite!
why would alien life (except for Dennis Kucinich) be so interested in Cleveland?
Imagine traveling between galaxies and ending up in Cleveland
I agree with you but there is one thing that puzzles me. The light/lights have been observed for up to 2 hours which is an incredibly long time for something powered by batteries.....
Generally speaking, they're only capable of approx. 20 minutes flight time before they have to be replaced.
Here's another thought, if it was a winged RC aircraft, it would have to be visually observed by the controller, they can't be flown in the dark or they would crash.
So my guess is that its probably something like that HexaKopter
