I am proud to say that I was a Girl Scout from Brownies in the third grade through Seniors when I graduated high school in 1972. I made First Class Scout when I was in the 8th Grade, 1968. I traveled to see the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low and I went on a Wider Opportunity out to Long Beach “Aboard the Queen Mary!”
Oh - wow - you are of my own era!
I regret that I did not pursue the Girl Scouts as so many did. (Had a long history of starting a lot of things and finishing none....)
You went aboard the Queen Mary? Or is that just a term - that’s why it’s in quotes.
Do you still have your sash with your badges?
The Girl Scouts are just a tremendous organization! So glad to learn this information about its founder!
