My Dad's one and only ‘birds and bees’ discussion with me went sorta like, “Son, just remember. No how pretty she is, how sexy she is, how much you think you want her, somewhere there's a guy who sick and tired of putting up with her shit, and you'll be that guy one day.” Dad had a pretty down to Earth view of life. He also used to brag that he was born with absolutely nothing and after 70 years of diligent effort and self-denial he still had every bit of it.
