I've long loved that song, as it was one my maternal grandmother would sing to a carload full of kids (including myself) on trips from Iowa to the Lake of the Ozarks, in Missouri, during my childhood...

We sang that Wolverton Mountain song (among others) all the way from Mo to California, and came back through Yellowstone National Park. It was a great trip.
