Sarah Palin sends liberals into irrational frenzies of contempt and, in the case of Bill Maher, fits of condescension which drive him to denigrate anyone stupid enough to see anything good in her. Maher began and ended his Friday night HBO program, Real Time with Bill Maher, with derogatory “jokes” based on the presumption Palin and her supporters are morons.
He started with how at the health care summit the attendees recited stories about health care perils: “John McCain told how he once carried a brain-dead woman through an entire campaign.”
About 56 minutes later, Maher raised Tiger Woods and his Buddhist beliefs, wrapping up the show by ridiculing the eastern religion, but turned it into a slam at Palin fans: “Thinking you can look at a babbling, barely house-broken, uneducated being and say that’s our leader doesn't make you enlightened. It makes you a Sarah Palin supporter.”

Luntz was on one of the Fox programs last night. He showed the clip showing Sarah Palin talking about that cartoon ridiculing Down syndrome people (there was a character with Down syndrome who said “my mother is governor of Alaska”)—her remarks were solely about how hurtful that kind of stuff is to “special needs” children, not about herself, but even so not more than 50% of the Democrats watching the clip felt any sympathy. Liberals pride themselves on being more compassionate, but they hate Sarah so much they hate her little kid too.
He would be wishing Gov. Palin was by his side to bring him back to safety. Otherwise...he would be a goner.
Be fun to watch what happens if Mr. Palin runs in to bill maher.

Maher is obviously very frightened and extremely desperate. And there’s nearly three years left before a presidential election will be held.
oh yeah, I assumed that each would be so repulsed by the other that this wouldn’t be a problem.
I’m glad Bill Maher exists. He’s the type that turns off many, many normal, non-political people, so to have someone as evidently mentally unstable as him self-identify as a liberal and a hater of Republicans can only be a plus.
The same demon who reacts to Jesus this way now inhabits Bill Mahre and reacts to Sarah Palin in the same manner.
