Generally speaking, anybody who claims to have a private line on God should be viewed with profound suspicion. Such a person is either deluded or evil. Then so much for the gnostic, meditation-based religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, etc.

You are mis-informed about Hindu religion.
It is not agnostic. Hindu’s believe in hundred’s of Gods.
Since Buddhism started in India, I am not so sure they are agnostic either, although I confess to much ignorance about
that religion.
