Sword-wielding seems to be in the news fairly often right now, despite the fact that the AR-15-type rifle was the best-selling firearm last year, no doubt in commemoration of the ascension of The One.
Just a little over two weeks ago, one post-doc used a katana on another post doc at Georgia Tech. This happened in the building next to the one my nephew works in. He said that so many grad students (mostly foreign) aren't too tightly wrapped, so he appreciated the M4 I bought for him as a graduation present.
Nah... the woman in the story used some sort of stick cane-sword. Like in the pictures up top. I was referring to the girl in the pic downthread from there. About post 21 or so. Looked like a gaddhjalt in an over-the-shoulder sort of rig.
The over-the-shoulder rig isn’t period-accurate, but it works well in movies. That sort of sword would’ve been worn typically on the belt. But hey... it works for her. :-)
