Nah... the woman in the story used some sort of stick cane-sword. Like in the pictures up top. I was referring to the girl in the pic downthread from there. About post 21 or so. Looked like a gaddhjalt in an over-the-shoulder sort of rig.
The over-the-shoulder rig isn’t period-accurate, but it works well in movies. That sort of sword would’ve been worn typically on the belt. But hey... it works for her. :-)
I got up to speed on the story now. Grandma says it's used to defend against pitbulls. Nobody knew where it came from, or that there was a blade in it. I guess Colt 45 can do that to you.
