THAT is coming up again. I don't pay too much attention to the Derby this early. The only Derby Future I ever bet was Buddha. I saw him break his maiden at Gulfstream, and got 14-1 on him before the Wood win. He would have been 5-2, was scratched on the morning of the Derby, and never ran again. I'm more looking forward to the Bluegrass and my annual spring visit to Keeneland. The Derby has become a real cr@pshoot with almost no preps involving multiple eventual Derby starters and 2YO form virtually meaningless. Affirmed and Alydar met six times before they hooked up and ran one-two in the Derby.
