Wow....I didn't see that....AT ALL. I'm not even sure that we watched the exact same apology.
I'm sorry to say that I once was an EXTREMELY judgmental person. I've found, however, that God (maybe just life in general) has a way of teaching us that people aren't perfect, addictions are real and even the person that you love can harm you beyond your ability to comprehend. It's a hard lesson to learn.
I found that he really hit on the right notes. He's clearly learning in therapy. I thought that it was a good start.

I found that he really hit on the right notes. I tried not to judge his sincerity. I've just grown up around well-written scripts and this was top flight.
This doesn't necessarily mean that he was insincere. But since he shows no real emotion the viewer is left wondering. That's the sign of a good performance; the audience doesn't know what's real and what isn't so they assume it's real. But who knows?
Pardon my cynicism but I've been around show biz and politics a long time. I have no idea what is in the man's head and heart.
