Uh, does Marxism promote taxes as low as they can be and free enterprise and a government that minds its own business? No, Marxism is actually defined as the belief in a classless society.

Marxist, as in doctrinaire, rigid, concerned with ideological purity.

Marxism believed in the ultimate ‘withering away of the state’. That there would, eventually, be no need for the very existence of the state.

I’d say about half of all conservative do, and have and always will support strong, omi present state intervention, size and power. Whom are the ‘true’ conservatives, isn’t clear.
