I don't really understand your question but the farthest I have been or ever will be from my comfy bed was the south end of New Zealand.

Well I think we should all be honored that we have a real honest-to-goodness Chinese on board and that he is curious about us and how we think and feel.

Define "World". If you mean "earth" then like has already been posted, its approximately 12,500 miles, half way round the earth.
But if you mean the larger universe.. it's a heck of a lot farther maybe 6 to 18 billion light years.
Personally I think it's the distance between B.Hussein Obama and the Constitution of the United States.

Fine, fine fine. Soooo, what is the furthest distance in the world, chinaboy? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ok, let me tell you what was on my mind. tumblindice In my mind that furthest distance in the world is from one heart to another heart, not only is a sign of love, but also include the friendship、family、and even affection in humankind. Once it disturbed our mind, there will be the furthest distance between the both. Think carefully, if there is no love between the both, any distance isnt become the furthest. That is to say, as long as there is love in our mind, any distance is not problems. When we are fall in love with others, stature, age and even all of such as style differences are not problems. For instance, I am in the eastern China, think about is there distance between I and the far American? Of course no, just cost any thousand to buy a ticket, we can meet at once. But if you want to go to ones heart, how far is it. You leave no stone unturned, you lay yourself out, and even you couldnt catch the whither. Touch their hearts with love, and instruct them with reasons. It is teach us that we may move others love by love, and pave the way by love to span the furthest distance in the world. The poem said: The farthest distance in the World,is not the space between life and death, but that you don't know I love you while I am standing in front of you. Perhaps both of Tagore and Zhang are inarticulate people. No matter which troubles happened in front of you, conquer it and brave express your feeling, you wont be sorry. When we are hard to communicate with friends, we think we are so lonely. When we are hard to communicate with parents, we think we are so sad. When we are hard to communicate with lover, we think we are so despairing. When we are hard to communicate with teachers, we think we are so hopeless. Maybe, we have to change ourselves. Let us span the furthest distance over the world together. what do you think? tumblindice

“The furthest distance in the world
is not between life and death
but when I stand in front of you
yet you don’t know that I love you
The furthest distance in the world
is not when I stand in font of you
yet you can’t see my love
but when undoubtedly knowing the love from both
yet cannot be togehter
The furthest distance in the world
is not being apart while being in love
but when plainly can not resist the yearning
yet pretending you have never been in my heart
The furthest distance in the world is not
but using one’s indifferent heart
to dig an uncrossable river
for the one who loves you”

What do you think is the furthest distance in the world? If you start at the North Pole and move South as far as possible before returning to the North Pole you will have covered the farthest distance on this world.

"Geographically, about 12,500 miles."
Nope. It's the distance you would travel to the point directly behind you if you only travel in the direction you are facing.

Here is another version:
The Furthest Distance in the world
The furthest distance in the world
Is not the distance between life and death
But you don’t know I love you when I stand in front of you
The furthest distance in the world
Is not you don’t know I love you when I stand in front of you
But I cannot say I love you when I love you so madly
The furthest distance in the world
Is not I cannot say I love you when I love you so madly
But I can only bury it in my heart dispute the unbearable yearning
The furthest distance in the world
Is not I can only bury it in my heart dispute the unbearable yearning
But we cannot be together when we love each other
The furthest distance in the world
Is not we cannot be together when we love each other
But we pretend caring nothing even we know love is unconquerable
The furthest distance in the world
Is not the distance between two trees
But the branches cannot depend on each other in wind
even they grow from the same root
The furthest distance in the world
Is not the braches cannot depend on each other
But two stars cannot meet even they watch each other
The furthest distance in the world
Is not the track between two stars
But nowhere to search in a tick after two tracks join
The furthest distance in the world
Is not nowhere to search in a tick
But doomed not to be together before they meet
The furthest distance in the world
Is the distance between fish and bird
One is in the sky, another is in the sea
The furthest distance in the world
Is not the distance between life and death
But you don’t know I love you when I stand in front of you
The furthest distance in the world
Is not you don’t know I love you when I stand in front of you
But I cannot say I love you when I love you so madly
The furthest distance in the world
Is not I cannot say I love you when I love you so madly
But I can only bury it in my heart dispute the unbearable yearning
The furthest distance in the world

Remember the oldest kid on the block [or maybe your mother]told you if you keep on digging a very deep hole, you would end up in China?
So what if you went straight down? Certainly not the longest distance but an interesting tool. Kids love this website.
