Can you imagine my horror the other day....
..after picking granddaughter up from school and spending the day with her...
..we were all having dinner and she mentioned Monday being President's Day (because she doesn't have to go to school)..

And she said we should do something fun....because it's President's Day...
..and Papa said Abraham Lincoln is one of his favorites, and I said George Washington...

..and (horrors!) my sweet little 5 yr old said Obama was hers!!!!

Mind you, her parents are strongly conservative, we are strong Conservatives, so when we told her parents, they said it must be the only president she knows of....

Of course that makes sense, although I'm sure her school has mentioned & taught about the others...

It just blew me away!
And she wouldn't change her mind either.

We will be working on her, for sure.

She's not exposed to the news....they are careful to keep innocuous educational programs on for her...

It really gave me the shivers!

I would hate to think my 5 yr old granddaughter is getting indoctrinated at such an early age.
