The truth is out there somewhere between the crazy golf and bowling green, to be precise.
A UFO sceptic was left terrified and running away so quickly he twisted his ankle, after seeing a mysterious craft and an otherworldly figure in Exmouths aptly-named Phear Park.
Retired engineer Roy Shaw was taking a night-time stroll with his dog, Sydney, when the close encounter happened.
He said: The object was round, about 30ft in diameter and 100ft long, with blue and red flashing lights on its perimeter.
It appeared to land at the top end of the park by the bowling green. My dog started to growl when what I can only describe as a white shape came towards us.
It was about 4ft high and seemed to be translucent and moved very slowly towards us. I was transfixed because it made a droning noise, which sounded like my, my.
Devon UFO expert Nigel Wright said: This is a close encounter of the third kind encountering an occupant of a UFO in close proximity to the craft. This is a really important sighting.
However, Mr Shaw said he remained a sceptic and was at a loss to explain Saturdays incident.

Hello Spaceboy: Roys picture of the white shape that approached him
Dropped acid or crazy perhaps?
Roy must have scored some real good stuff.
“skeptic”
“Four feet high” and “made a droning noise”?????
ROBERT REI-SHaaaaaaaHHHHH, what are you doing out so
late at night???!!!!
Sounds as if the UFO family has started a trend. Probably some sort of Heene copy cat - balloon boy unit and a kid in a plastic burka.
Sydney scares me more than the alien.
I've been shooting at his relatives for years...
LOL...how many times have you posted that thing in the past two days?
The look on the dog’s face says it all.
Fascinating case.
Thanks.
From my experience . . .
anyone who can look at his pic and conclude that . . . would be an extremely poor psychologist.

was alcohol involved?
Too bad he didn't break his neck. Then he might not be a skeptic anymore. :>)
But can you believe the continuous skeptical tinfoil kook patrol on this thread? They never quit. I wish we could contact the alien nation and have them take (abduct)the kook patrol here at FR first and study their gray matter. Unfortunately, that might prove to be unproductive in all actuality. What could they possibly find that's useful in their brand new brains? (unused). Sad.
LOL!
How are you, quix? Still putting up with these small minds here at FR I see. :>)
