Why isn't Free Republic easier to read on my iPhone and iTouch?
When I click on a thread, the type spreads out and it's so small I cannot read it. Why doesn't it format in a narrower column so the font is larger and readable?

Modify your settings on FreeRepublic, it works better than a lot of sites on the Internet.

Jim just needs a style sheet for mobile devices. I have an iPhone and although my eyes aren’t so bad to need glasses to read, they aren’t as young as they used to be.

I just sold my iPod touch and bought an Iphone. FR works great on both for me.

I turn it sideways then expand the paragraphs to fit the screen and read FR way too much (my husband says).

On the BlackBerry, load FR, hit menu, then column view. When you refresh you need to do it again. Otherwise you need a magnifying glass.

The FR website is up to date circa 1999. I don’t think mobile phones had internet access back then.

What?! An Apple device fails to automatically deliver a no-brain-stem solution?!
Call Steve Jobs!
(PS: I am not inferring that iTampon users do not have brain stems)

Tap the screen twice, zooms in. Works on my ipod touch 3G.

I suppose they could switch to a CSS2 based layout... that would make life easier when browsing from the iphone : -)

I think FR looks pretty good on my 37” 1080p HD TV that I use as one of my monitors! I have no idea as to why your portable doesn't look as good! :-) (Just humor!)

Thanks for the links in reply #43. Very nice look on the Blackberry. Freepers have led me to some great things, and this is one of them. I had not seen what .rss was before this.
