I assume this is limited to pop or rock? Otherwise, no top solo women list could be complete without Patsy Cline.

And if you throw the lady blues and jazz singers into the mix, even Patsy has a hard time making the top 5.

Today’s crop of pop artists are a bunch of pitch correction software users. Does no one wonder why they NEVER miss a note? Humans just aren’t that good.

Patsy Cline could rock with the best of them, as she demonstrated in her 1957 opus "Ain't No Wheels on this Ship". There's a recording of the song on Youtube, but for some reason, the link doesn't work on FR.
