R.J. Corman to hold job fair Saturday
Business First of Louisville

SNIPPET: “The job fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at R.J. Corman’s Lexington Yard, located at 122 Buchanan Street.

Gov. Steve Beshear and U.S. Congressman Ben Chandler are expected to be in attendance.

Applications for jobs paying between $25 and $35 per hour will be given to the first 500 unemployed people, according to the release. Applicants are required to bring a valid driver’s license and social security card.

The company is looking for laborers, railroad equipment operators, truck drivers with commercial driver’s licenses and bridge painters.

The state of Kentucky last month received a $17.6 million federal stimulus grant through the federal Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery program to rehabilitate short-line railroads owned by R.J. Corman.”
