We needed to seriously question our financial will to send humans to Mars. Not every taxpayer is ready to sign on for that expense.
Yeah, lets talk about financial will shall we?
How bout my share of taxes that pays for welfare be redirected to human space exploration.

I believe that people's future lies in space. It's a matter of longterm survival; it's the only really new challege left. For those who don't get it, they probably think we should spend the money on global warming.

Roughly 40 years we have spent trillions on the “War on Poverty” and here is what we got.. The destruction of the Black middle class in the cities (something the KKK dreamed of), generations of people who sit around and get fat of our tax money, but yet we need to spend more..

Obama can set down while the Russians and the Chinese do the heavy lifting. It is easy to settle for second place, but in the space game you can never catch up. I doubt if the president understands this. Or, perhaps he does and wants our country to always be the second place winner.

What if we had the "entitlement programs in 1804 that we have now? This country would probably be a lot smaller and weaker.
