I posted this under general/chat category "wierd stuff" where it belongs ...
I've been on here since 1998, in these past 12 years I've changed alot. I became deathly ill only to make myself better through natural means. I even had 3 children since 1998 as well.
When I first joined I had just had my eyes opened to Christianity and to the real Christ, having previously voted for Clinton in 92 I realized I was very wrong in my thoughts and started voting Republican. But now, 12 years later I have learned even more, enough to know to stop investing time in this arena.
We have our pinewood derby car race this weekend for scouting, our cars are fast, should be a good race. To be honest, I really don't care about politics anymore. Jesus didn't waste his time on it and niether will I. Not saying I wont vote, I will.
Anyway, the FR has been great fun, and daily I actually laughed out loud reading the quips from posters, very witty stuff. I just wanted to say thank you to the FR for 12 years.
This part of my life is being closed down so that I can spend this time on other things.
- Scythian out
PS: That means you can rip me to shreds now in proper FR style, LOL, you guys are awesome and Good Luck ...
Hear, hear!
[Therell always be a worm place for you in my heart]
There’s meds for that.
best wishes
It's not what Caesar wants, but what is his.
"Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's".
Sometimes, Caesar is due an ass kicking.
Getting nailed to a tree can to that. But then, Jesus also forgave.
I was going to argue with you until I got to the last line.
Excellent! :0)
God Bless Veteran FReeper.
Don’t remember if we have ever shared banter or barbs - but your contributions will be missed I am sure.
FR is a place I visit for sanity and get insanity, company and get criticism, laughs and get looney, security and get shot down. I have learned a lot so it evens out.
That diabolical interloper has all but ruined my sunny disposition - so maybe a break is not such a bad idea.
Be sure to say a prayer for the rest of us, sitting and spitting.
sod;)
You’ll be peeking, you FReevert. You can’t help it!
Going Amish?
I think Jesus cared very much about the politics in Nazi Germany, Russia, Communist China, etc., - and still does today. Not to mention the Middle East and all countries in the world where his faithful are persecuted today (and that includes the unborn).
Christians are called to be the Salt & the Light. Tempting as it may be at times, if we take ourselves out of the game they win.
Remember William Wilberforce! And God bless.
Jesus was outraged by the politics w/in Herod’s “Temple” heace the upending of the Moneychangers’ Tables. He was not outraged w/ the Romans because he knew the they were being Roman.
Until we meet again....God bless
Your contribution here will be missed. Wishing you the best.
“Jesus didn’t waste his time on it and niether will I.”
That’s what the Christians were saying in 1973 when Roe -v- Wade went to the Supreme Court.
Putting your hands over your ears doesn’t make you more like Jesus.
OK. Enjoy your time off. See you in a few weeks!
“Everyone I know goes away in the end.” God bless and keep you and your family. Wife and I will keep you in our prayers.
I thought only dogs got heartworms?
Who the hell is Scythian?
