Over the last few days we have seen quite a few liberals making snide comments about Scott Brown being part of the teabagger movement, as if thats supposed to be some kind of curse against him. Martha Coakleys team just made statements yesterday about Brown being part of the right wing establishment and supported by teabaggers groups.

They must be forgetting that most Americans would vote for a “Tea Party” over both the Democrats and Republicans. Calling someone a “teabagger” therefore gives them more votes.

Thank goodness calling someone a teabagger is now a compliment.

Liberals are not restrained by reality. They cook up things to throw at the conservatives that makes liberals happy. They do not realize they are in a minority as there are twice as many conservatives and all they are doing is suturing up a hornets nest. They will get stung this year and in two years.

I’d rather be a Teabagger than be a Marxist, Radical Left Wing Commie!
Brown should start spewing forth that message.

We should ask all the libs that call Tea Party people Tea Baggers if they are also referring to the Tea Partiers of 1773 the same way...

This must be an attempt to energize their base. They won't change any minds with such an insider attack. They do run the risk of energizing the opposition as well, but they appear to be pretty well energized already.

I think the correct response is to turn the term back on those who utter it as suggested in the article. The next time you hear or read the term “teabagger” then ask the following: “Are you implying that by calling this person a “teabagger” that they are part of the homosexual community and if not why are you using a clearly degrading, homophobic and politically incorrect term to express yourself?” Then stand your ground until they either acknowledge they didn't know it was a degrading expression or until they admit that is what they call themselves, at which point you have a chance to educate.

And one more thing . . . how does teabagger fit into the hate crimes bill? Since its a homophobic term, maybe we teabaggers could start suing everytime a liberal tries to debase the love for our country by calling us such a vulgar name . . . Personally, I find that degenerate, vile, disgusting, homosexual conduct, attributed to us by every far left wing commentator (and even many mainstream) to be highly offensive and disconcerting, which is no doubt why they use it.
As much as I've tried to come up with something appropriately similar to attack to the leftist moonbats, I've not been successful, at least nothing that would withstand the censors on any blog or site (including this one)and not cause an uproar.
If anyone can thinks of something, please do not hesitate to share your moment of genius with us all. lol
PS: I'm in agreement that someone should challenge this as bigoted hate speech and see where it goes, which I realize, will be not far!

Since the Left and their sycophants in the press have ignored the Tea Party movement, they have no idea who these people are and what they stand for. They believe that they are nothing more than a bunch of skinheads with their noses out of joint because America elected a NEGRO. I say let them continue to harbor such delusions. Let them use their money to drive the voters to our side. This is good news.

Tea Partiers are fast becoming the most admired group in America--the new "greatest generation"--because they may, if they stay focused on principles, preserve (conserve) liberty for future generations. See excerpts from Andrew Jackson's "Valedictory," March 4, 1837, below:
"Knowing that the path of freedom is continually beset by enemies who often assume the disguise of friends, I have devoted the last hour of my public life to warn you of the danger. The progress of the United States under our free and happy institutions has surpassed the most sanguine hopes of the founders of the Republic. Our growth has been rapid beyond all former example, in numbers, in wealth, in knowledge, and all the useful arts. . . and from the earliest age of history to the present day, there never have been thirteen millions of people associated together in one political body who enjoyed so much freedom and happiness as the people of the United States.
You have no longer any cause to fear danger from abroad. . . . It is from within, among yourselves, from cupidity, from corruption, from disappointed ambition and inordinate thirst for power, that factions will be formed and liberty endangered.
It is against such designs, whatever disguise the actors may assume, that you have especially to guard yourselves. You have the highest of human trusts committed to your care. Providence has showered on this favored land blessings without number and has chosen you as the guardians of freedom to preserve it for the benefit of the human race. May He . . . enable you, with pure hearts and pure hands and sleepless vigilance, to guard and defend to the end of time the great charge he has committed to your keeping. . . .
I thank God that my life has been spent in a land of liberty. . . ."(Excerpts as they appear in "Our Ageless Constitution," - See

My retort when I'm (or Cons in general) called a "Teabagger" (and in all honesty, something I purloined from one of your more astute and reasoned Freeper) I respond with:"Tis better to be a "TEA-BAGGER" than a "TEA-BAGGEE!"

Brown should stay on message and not put his foot in his mouth two days before election time.
Like maybe stating that Curt Schilling is a Yankee fan. or Catholics who actually practice their religion should not work in emergency rooms.
He just doesn’t need to pee on any ones wagon right now.

Some Massachusetts voters may even know that the original tea party was in Boston Harbor in 1773. (I don’t know if they learn about that in public schools.)

Maybe we should call THEM “D-Baggers”
You can guess what the D stands for.

When they call us Teabaggers they don’t even realize they are guilty of projection.

You know, even I didn't know what a tea-bagger was - and I know quite a bit of people who are into, shall we say, alternative lifestyles (don't ask) - until I looked it up online.
Strikes me as something pretty silly to find erotic, and certainly something very silly to call someone who is just for lower taxes and less government intrusion.
...When I'm called a "Teabagger"... I respond with:
"Tis better to be a "TEA-BAGGER" than a "TEA-BAGGEE!"
That's a pretty good come-back. As long as we are arguing with idiots on the level of an elementary school playground, we might as well come back the same way.
As a note, since the Tea-bagger term apparently can apply to either of the two parties, maybe a better alternative come-back might be "At least I'm the one on the Top." (The "Top" is always the guy role).
My apologies if I offended anyone here...

If Coakley loses, we can say she’s been “teabagged.”

I heard some shrieking liberal woman on a Sunday morning talk show using the word “teabagger” as often as possible. She knew FULL WELL what she was doing—using the disparaging term “teabagger” instead of “tea party.” Tucker Carlson tried to put her in her place. Somebody please give that woman SOMETHING to shut her up!
