just for the record...the very best ever football player in the NFL was .......Slingin Sammy Baugh.............

...hall of fame quarterback, but he also started on defense in the secondary and was all pro on defense as well and ....oh.......he also was the team’s punter and held NFL records for passing, interceptions and punting 10 different times.........

just a triple tough hand from days gone by and simply the best

and a Texan.

The last glimpse of that generation of players most of us had was George Blanda who kicked and played QB..
I believe Hornung also punted.

Different game in the first 50 years of the NFL than today’s game.

That was painful to watch yesterday, in more ways than 1.
If I had to guess, I’m thinking Kurt played his last game in the NFL. If not, I fear Brenda might tie him up and keep him home permanately!!

Slinging Sammy. Yep, can’t argue that one!!!
