I got the sense on that drive that the Ravens are starting to learn Manning. They were all over the routes by the end. I read an article the other day saying that the Colts will wear the Ravens D out with long drives, but I think the secondary is just getting better and better reads. Long drives might start turning into picks.

I’m starting to wonder a bit about picking the Colts.

There's no real trick to playing Manning; you have to defend the entire field. Many QBs, even at the pro level, have very strong tendencies and stick to one receiver. With Manning, the D has to play fundamental. Guys cannot abandon their assignments, cause Manning will not tip the play with his tendencies.

I hope I'm not making it sound like it's easy to defend Manning. I just mean that all the little tricks that work with a lot of QBs don't work with him and the D has to cover all the bases equally and play him straight up and honest.

3-3! Do we have an actual competitive game that doesn't look like a video arcade?
