Typical liberal Minnesota public school indoctrinating teacher:
In a school just outside Minneapolis, a first grade teacher explained to her class that she is a Vikings Fan. She asked her students to raise their hands if they are Vikings fans too. Not really knowing what a Vikings fan is, but wanting to be liked by their teacher, their hands all fly into the air. However, there is one exception. A little boy named Billy has not gone along with the crowd.
The teacher asks him why he has decided to be different. “Because I am not a Vikings fan.” says Billy. “Then,” asks the teacher, “what are you?” Billy says “I am a proud Green Bay Packers fan!”
The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Billy why he is a Packers fan. “Well, my Mom and Dad are Packers fans so I’m a Packers fan, too,” Billy responds.
The teacher is now angry. “That’s no reason,” she says loudly. “What if your Mom was a moron, and your dad was an idiot?
Billy smiled and said, “Then I’d be a Vikings Fan.”
They have to start calling those helmet to helmets or we’re going to find our game turned into two hand touch by some regulators somewhere.
>>Actually, I thought it was a good hit. <<
Hands down, pure helmet to helmet? it may have been OK a few years ago, but it is a cheap and thug play like the head slap.
LOL - that brings back memories - Mr. Meredith - yes, it could be over - but football can be quirky.
Not with Manning and the Colts, though, they are so very good.
It will change only if something dramatic happens like the Ravens start getting to Manning....
The ravens can’t win by running the ball and Flacco doesn’t have the passing talent you need to get points
Flacco is going to have to go to the air, thus the Colts D will tee off.
I don't think Austin Collie was a "no name receiver" coming out of BYU. These are his college records:
Austin Collie, NCAA Receiving Records 2008[5] Category Number NCAA Rank, 2008 Receiving yards per game 118.31 1st Total yards receiving 1538 1st Consecutive 100 yd. receiving games 11 Tie 1st, shared with Michael Crabtree Receiving yards per catch 14.5 3rd Total receptions 106 3rd Touchdowns receiving 15 4th Total all-purpose yards per game 162.46 12th
This is his rookie season...you'll be hearing his name a bunch in the coming years.
Yeah, it’s been a long time since a defender could say, “the most beautiful thing in the world is a receiver laying on the ground with a snot bubble coming out of his nose.”
Give me a break! I really don’t much care why any of them did anything.
Bottom line is Irsay (hated by players and fans, incidentally; a scum drunk) did what NO OTHER owner has EVER done in major-league sports - literally run off without any announcement.
Cleveland fans got a warning well ahead as well as everything else they wanted in a short time - a team in a few years, their records and name (not that anyone would really want a name like “Browns”), and they don’t even have to see “Modell” pasted all over game programs or see his or any relatives’ face at a game.
BTW...any news from Haiti?
OK. Good game so far. I am entertained at least. Manning is amazing.I knew he was going to get that last TD. Flacco is going to need a career second half to pull it out. He has the arm and a few good receivers. Winner of this game is SB champ..no question.
>>Yeah, its been a long time since a defender could say, the most beautiful thing in the world is a receiver laying on the ground with a snot bubble coming out of his nose.<<
LOL! I do have to say some of the rules are pretty sissified — heck, I expect them to put QBs in a dress any day now.
But some of the rules makes sense, Helmet to Helmet being one.
So what? It was his team he can do whatever he wants. When you get an NFL then you can do what every other team has done. No other City in major league sport has ever tried to steam someone's franchise. Irsay did the smart thing.
“So what? It was his team he can do whatever he wants.”
Bottom line, you’re right! Then tell that to Cleveland.
My girl is in the Dominican Republic and apparently they didn’t have any damage. I don’t know anyone in Haiti any more. The last of the missionaries I knew came back about five years ago.
Now why would they show the missed kick by Vandershank. That still hurts.
Speaking of Haiti - for anyone who would like a halftime diversion...
Local news has some very touching stories about local people - some who survived and some who didn’t - in Haiti’s disaster.
Good stories.

(Oh well - game back on)
I knew my Ravens would blow up because OC Cam Cameron hates to run the football.
Our QB regressed and is having a horrible season and he insists on trying to throw on first down and 3rd and 2...twice.
With 1 48 to go in second...we could have run the clock down, but no Cam (I hate to run)Cameron...throws twice, giving the best QB in the game ample opportunity to put up another score...we could have been 10-3 at halftime but now he has want he desires...he is forced to throw the ball at 17-3.
Fire Cameron...he bites.
Oh yeah, fire the ref who made that endzone call...lol, what a total dufus of a call.
