As with all hyperbole, the “truth” is somewhere in the middle.
IMHO, stepping back and listening to the performance, Big Mike hit all the notes well and used his falsetto as an effective counter to his big voice. He wasn’t pitchy and was at least interesting.
It wasn’t until afterward that I realized it was a chick song. But that explains my sudden craving for an Appletini...
