It depends on who they get to replace Simon. And I don't know if Ellen has a contract beyond this season (dropping her would help a lot).
The show *could* survive without Simon, but if they replace him with someone disgusting I want even watch or host the thread.
There is NO doubt in my mind...that no matter what happens with AI next year...if YOU have a thread...WE will be ehre being just as irreverant and sarcastic as ever, and having a BALL! :-)

Good point -- let's withhold judgment. Who do you think might make a good judge? Fred Willard maybe? Robin Williams (hos shtick is a bit old, though)? Phil Spector broadcasting from his prison cell?
