I think she did say at one point that she auditioned primarily in the hope of supporting her son...she certainly doesn’t seem like she’s into the drama/glitz/cheese part of the show. That said, her body language last night spoke of something more serious than just sadness or annoyance. Whatever it is, let’s hope she gets better quickly.
Damn straight it was song choice -- that was beyond karaoke. Plus, with Siobhan already up there, the "quirky girl" quota had already been reached.
"I wish it was under more talented circumstances." FV
Paigey used to live in Naples, FL. Any way to see if Fla voted for her? Now Mike Lynche went to like St. Pete’s Fame type school Gibbs High. His teachers are quite familiar to me. They are broadway/opera/show stopping background. So, Mike Lynche is doing well.
Alex Lambert was most despondent contestant ever. Usually, they say they enjoyed the experience. He couldn’t handle getting the boot. He’ll never make it. Show biz is mostly erratic paychecks and lots of rejection. He should sing somewhere but if he can’t take rejection, rejection will destroy him.
Glad you joined us. You have inside info!
Pretty please? With sugar on top? ;-)
Count me in on that!

I am officially a bawl baby. Join me. ;^) :*^( *WAHH*
Our local Fox affiliate has a guy at Facebook who covers AI. You can join him at Charley's World on facebook. He flies out there every week since there are 3 people who started out in Florida including Paige who should sing for Obama as punishment for wrecking our nation.
Hey Peggy! I was reading on MJ’s Big Blog today and he says that David Cook is going to perform on AI this Wednesday! Yay!!!
Say what? Clay Aiken fathered a child? When did this happen?
Really???????? Woo hoooooo. Thanks for the heads up.
A duet with Crystal might sound good, don't you think? Maybe eventually...
Ironic because Patsy got her big break on a national talent show.
LOL! See! I told ya! It's a tearjerker. That's how I know that song and hearing a man sing it is just weird to me.
“I sure hope everyone is kind enough not to ever let Katie watch the other contestants reactions to her over Lilly.”
From reading through the posts I see a lot of people like Katie. But watching the other contestants when she sings you can see they are not enthusiastic about her.
Also-Lacey a crier? Didi tears up EVERY time and can’t talk ahhhhhh drives me crazy (not really, been there a long time LOL)
I can’t believe no one has mentioned Siobhan crying her eyes out discovering mullet head being booted! Me thinks a little somp’em somp’em was going on between those two!
Just an FYI...don’t know if you saw this...
‘American Idol’: Kara DioGuardi’s dad running for Senate
March 13, 2010 3:10 PM ET
“American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi’s dad, a former congressman, is looking to re-enter the political picture.
Joseph DioGuardi, who served two terms in the House of Representatives in the 1980s, is considering a run for one of New York’s U.S. Senate seats. DioGuardi, a Republican, is expected to announce his campaign next week, the AP reports.
The seat he’s running for is currently held by Democrat Kirsten Gillibrand, who was appointed in 2009 after Hillary Clinton left the Senate to become Secretary of State. Whoever wins the special election in November will serve until 2012, then will have to run again to serve a full six-year term.
DioGuardi, a certified public accountant, could be part of a potentially crowded Republican primary field. One other candidate, Bruce Blakeman, has already said he’s running, and former New York Gov. George Pataki is also thinking about a run, as is former George W. Bush adviser Dan Senor and several others.
Joe DioGuardi isn’t the only pol with an “Idol” connection. Scott Brown, recently elected to the Senate from Massachsuetts, is the father of season 5 contestant Ayla Brown.
