I’m with you. I thought Big Mike was brilliant tonight. I was wiping tears along with Kara. Having his wife there obviously inspired him. Beautiful.

I don't know who started this trend with full-frontal male nudity but it has to stop...while I whizzed through the thread..
We have a theme!

Last Thursday we went to Costco and the lady in the checkout line in front of us was buying nothing but a cart full of bananas. Seriously. She had to have at least 15-20 bunches of bananas and that was it. Weird. Monday we had to run back to Costco just for one thing. We are walking out...and there is the same lady- with another cart full of bananas! WTH? Does she have a gorilla at home or an animal sanctuary or something??
She might be buying for a smoothies shop -- most of the fruit they use probably has pretty good shelf life (or is frozen), but bananas don't freeze well and have a pretty limited "window" of usefulness. And they're very common fruit smoothie ingredients.

Todrick looks like he's going horseriding after the show. His song choice is Queen's "Somebody To Love". It's okay. He doesn't change it up (butcher it) like his other songs. No, but he did change it to be a bit more "gospel" sounding. I actually thought it was a good arrangement. But I don't think he sang it very well. An average vocalist at best, and Simon is right, he may very well be more suited for Broadway than AI.

To: Miss Didi
Morning, Didi! Sorry I missed you last night.
To: silent_jonny
i guess I just dont get it..it made Kara cry.
And not one tear that I could see. No kidding! She drives me crazy anyway but the fake crying over nothing made her look like an idiot! And.....she just wants to hang all over Simon and "be" Paula. Ain't gonna happen, chickeee-babe.
(as you can tell, I catch up with the thread in the mornngs :-{) )

Good tosee you, Ms. Dupree!
Last night was soooooo boring that I actually fell asleep after the first four. I totally missed the next three and woke up in time to hear Michael. Whatta voice! He is the one to beat.
Y’all are so mean to our little Aaron from up here in hillbilly country in northern PA. he’s going to be Top Ten whether you like it or not because he has a gazillion hillbillies voting for him!
Going home tonight: Alex and Lee

I first saw it right before I had my own son. Oh wow. That had to make it even more emotional.

As believable as a 17 year old singing about Trouble,Hey! He was saved by a woman! A groovy, groovy woman.
To: kevkrom
She might be buying for a smoothies shopIt would be very un-PC for me to describe her, but let me just say that in Chicago on Lower Wacker Drive there used to be these homeless guys who found some office furniture and set up a pretend office right there on the street. They would act like they were answering phones, filing things, and were just generally hard at work.
If this lady has a smoothie shop, it's probably right next to their office.
To: silent_jonny
Hope you feel better today. ((RK))Awww...thanks. I feel worse. LOL But it just means everything is clearing out.
I felt so crappy yesterday so I told work I wouldn't be in today so I could rest. It's actually the perfect day to be stuck at home with a cold. It's damp, rainy and grey.
To: retrokitten
Oh wow. That had to make it even more emotional. (sniff) Yeah... and my little Freeper just turned 18! :)
It really was a good movie. Seeing Alec Baldwin as this utterly empty man who knew he was empty was really thought-provoking, especially for the times.
