Good news. It looks like Idol is going back to it's standard formula for the semi-finals.

Every Thursday night during the semi-finals, 4 singers (2 guys and 2 girls) with the lowest votes that week will be eliminated.

The remaining singers will continue to perform every week until they have a Top 12.

Last year, Idol did this backwards and had the top singers each week seperated from the herd.
