Their Hollywood trip will end with tears and running mascara. And possibly a good hair-pulling catfight :)

I love her too, I would love to see Wicked with the Original cast. Her and the girl that played the Wicked witch really had great harmony on the soundtrack.

LOL...”Gotta give it up to God.” A comedian I like named Tim Hawkins has a church bit...he says don’t you just love those people who get up to sing a song and say they have to sing because God laid it on their hearts. Then when they sing, you want to say “well tell him to take it back, because surely that’s not what he put in your heart... it’s funnier when he does it. :)

“American Idol” may owe Chicago an apology — and not just for ousting Jennifer Hudson prematurely from Season 3.

The talent contest came to town and showed a bunch of foul-mouthed citizens, welcoming the show “Chi-ca-go style” as host Ryan Seacrest put it.

But wait … weren’t those palm trees behind one of those cursing contestants?

And wasn’t that the Amway Center in Orlando in the background of another?

#%$^&! Some of those potty mouths weren’t even filmed in Chicago.

An “American Idol” spokeswoman did not return calls seeking comment, but thanks to the TiVo pause button, we can definitively say the Second City has been unfairly maligned.

Tuesday’s program, which documented local auditions filmed last summer, opened with Frank Sinatra’s “My Kind of Town” interspersed with clips of rejected contestants swearing at the camera.

“We’re excited to be in the Windy City and we’re blown away by the warm welcome,” Seacrest says in his voice-over.

Cue the cursing Chicago contestants and a few (bleeping) golden moments that would make Rod Blagojevich blush.

“You think I’m playing, (Bleep)?” one woman screeches at the cameras as she stands in the middle of a park filled with palm trees.

That’s right. Palm trees.

Though the tropical trees may appear in planters along Oak Street Beach in the summer, they just don’t dominate our Midwestern landscape. In fact, the Chicago Park District knows of no such abundance of palms here.

And yet they appeared in more than one angry “Idol” interview Tuesday.

“(Bleep) American Idol,” another woman says with a palm tree blowing over her right shoulder. “Kiss my (bleep).”

We couldn’t say it any better, even if she said it central-Florida-style.
