I was having a difficult time finding the names of the bowls on the sports sites, I've always enjoyed seeing the names of the bowls, where they're played, etc. The eale Bank Bowl between Temple and UCLA had to come closest to the proverbial "Toilet Bowl," played at night in sub-30 degree weather on a frozen field in nearly defunct RFK stadium, Washington DC.

Think I will take a break from football at 1 PM and watch the outside hockey game between the Flyers and the Bruins.
Hope it snows during the game.

USC won its first game in San Francisco since 1943 by beating Boston College in the Emerald Bowl. Congratulations, Trojans!

Another good non-football event today is in NCAA basketball:
2:30 PM ET #6 West Virginia at #4 Purdue
Both teams undefeated!

LOL college football has so marginalized itself with 50 bowl games and no reasonable means to crown a champion that none of this matters. Are the “major jan 1st bowls” even on Jan 1 anymore? Who knows...
