This reminds me of an story I read in a Woodward book back in the 80’s. There was a rash of kidnappings by Hezbollah in Beirut in the early 80’s. They made the mistake of kidnapping a Russian. The KGB abducted someone in Hezbollah, cut of his genitals, put them in his mouth and then slit his throat. There were no more kidnappings of Russians after that.
