That’s what happens when you mistreat Craig James’ son.

Without looking, this is the same school that hired Bobby Knight as basketball coach?

Now TX Tech has opened the doors for the kids to overrule the coach for future situations.

First I heard of this, but it sure sounds like a real piece of stupidity and injustice to me.

Some interesting reader comments on an earlier news report:

I don’t know if what he sis was a firing offense or not, but he lost me when he went to court to make TT allow him to coach during the bowl game.

That part was weird too. Why go to court to coach the team?

My boos has been mean to me all week by not leaving me alone while I was on vacation....humm I wonder if I could get my daddie to call the CEO and get him fired.

Just a thought?

Just a guess but probably may have something to do with bonuses. Like maybe a firing on the day before year end may have something to do with salary.

Why go to court

Because he was due an $800,000 bonus if he was the coach at close of business tomorrow...

Wouldn’t he still have been the coach? He had only been suspended, not fired.

Even suspended he was still the head coach. I think he would have collected had he stayed collected.

Yes, and the very same athletic director.

So Leach does something that sounds like it’s straight out of Bob Knight’s playbook and the man that hired Knight fires him.

Anybody care to guess what’s going to happen to their alumni donations after this?

“Why go to court to coach the team?”

Because your lawyer is an idiot.

It takes two to make a situation like this. I think Adam James is likely a serious attitude problem.

I also think that Mike Leach is a bully.

Too bad it came to this.

He didn’t do squat to the kid.

The kid is a rich slacker and had ESPN connections.

This move will destroy the Tech progam.

What did he do that was out of Knight’s playbook?
