While some would alarm all-around abating a theory, others would alarm it a accurate set of facts. Opinions alter vehemently. Let us accede all-around abating to be both a apriorism that the ambiance of the apple as we apperceive it is slowly, but actual absolutely accretion in all-embracing air and baptize temperature, and a affiance that if whatever is causing this trend is not disconnected or challenged activity on apple will dynamically be affected.

ARRRGH!!!!!! This was just not my day. Didn't want to go into work but had a meeting or two (well, teleconference), so I went anyway. Cleared out a bunch of e-mail, then tackled a powerpoint for a talk mid-March -- it's not due until the 12th, but I do not know about Internet access after Friday; I've sometimes had trouble in Europe and if what they're offering is Vodaphone I'm not buying.

So, it's really ready to go from the last time I delivered it but I added new material from a Chinese standard (helpfully translated into English). Then I purchased a digital copy of a brand-new American standard (first paper copies appeared at the conference a week ago) but when I download the PDF... 0 bytes. Empty.

And I get pulled into a 6 AM (local time) teleconference with India tomorrow. (Calling from home on this one, and thus the one immediately following.)

Then I try to do my expense report -- oops, missing a receipt (first time in many years) but three charges haven't shown up yet. Dead in the water.

Go home slightly early and... the Linux box won't boot at all. Figured that might happen.

Pulled out the work laptop to go online and... FR was down.

Sigh. Is it Friday yet?

He tried to focus on the face as it shone through the surrounding darkness.
“You have no idea how long we looked for you.” the face glanced to her right, smiled faintly, and then made a gesture nod towards someone else in the room.
He saw a familiar face grimly survey the effects of deep freeze on nanite induced undead coworker.
“You look like hell.” Sigma chuckled.
“Same could be said for you, we were about to scrap you for parts.” Kappa made a familiar and old joke.
“I haven’t been a corpscicle that long, have I?” Sigma had to ask.
The previous vaguely familiar face came back into view.
“All I can say is that we’ve had a long roundabout journey to find you. At least, that’s all I can say for now. Doubtless you’ll guess or have already guessed much.” the face seemed almost awed by seeing him.

He coughed, rubbed his face, and began:
“Remember your short hyperspace jump towards the incoming enemy fire?”

I do enjoy getting feedback about my books.

I'd love to tell you how my daughter liked them, but she quit talking to me since she borrowed them. I'll be lucky if I get them back neat and clean, with no dog-earred pages.

May it come soon.

That's when we depart for Paris. I am so looking forward to this even though it will be cold, grey and wet.

Firmly ensconced, cross legged under a blanket with a flashlight, reading into the wee hours of the morning.
(Typo’d.. morining. New word!)

Reprints are available, but somebody has to pay the printer.

Do what others have done; find somebody to gift you. (If you can read fast, T-C now has a fairly complete set ....)

Um...with Bob’s books, she may be under the covers, and she may have a flashlight, but she won’t be alone and the flashlight will most likely be shining on certain paragraphs, sort of like a technical guide.

When I visit with TC this spring, I’ll read the books again. Waiting on my daughter could give me withdrawal symptoms.

Isn’t it awfully sharp and uncomfortable to be on the edge of your seat?

"Ah, the rebellious youth."

Just for the sake of telling a scientifically plausible story about dragons, I have to develop a world, its geology, the evolutionary history of the dragon races, their sociology, "family" relationships, the nature of the relationship with colonizing humans and the changes that brought to human society, the development of the machine age in dragon history, the likely direction that dragon and human development and cooperation may take, and the relationship of that world with the rest of the galaxy.

Oh, and I might need a plot too.
