After over a decade of hanging here, picking up other prayer requests I must post one of my own.
My wife and I have taken in two grandchildren (2 and 5) after the death of their father and eventual abandonement by their mother who has been overwhelmed by one medical condition over another.
She called this morning half way around the country with news that she is once again hospitalized, this time with conjestive heart failure and would like to home to see her children while she can.
This is difficult on so many levels and only a mighty and loving God can sort through the noise and bring peace into it.
Pray for Cathy, her children and an outcome that brings glory to God!
Thank you in advance!

Prayers for all concerned! God hears all.
Prayers up.
Prayers have been sent. God bless you and your family.
Prayers
Prayers.
Prayers up.
I lived with my grandparents for the larger part of my young life, and what a blessing it was that they were willing to take me into their home. My grandmother had health issues, but she has been one of the greatest influences in my life. The most important thing she gave me was unconditional love. If not for her, I shudder to think how I may have turned out.
You probably don’t realize at this time what an impact you’re making, but your actions now will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
Heavenly Father, I ask you to meet this family’s needs, emotionally, financially, and spiritually. I hold them up before you in prayer, asking you to bless them above all they could ask or think. Give them daily wisdom and guidance. Let them hear your leading, and feel your presence. In Christ’s name, Amen.
Been there, done that. Freep mail follows.
Prayers Incoming!
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life, and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.
Direct, we beseech Thee, O Lord, our actions by Thy holy inspirations, and carry them on by Thy gracious assistance; that every prayer and work of ours may always begin from Thee, and through Thee be happily ended. Amen.
My advice, with the prayers, is to talk to your daughter’s doctor and get his input as to her condition. She’ll have to give permission, of course. IF she could be transferred to a local hospital/hospice/nursing home and has the finances available so that it is not a drain on your finances, then more prayer to know if this is God’s will. If her presence would set the children back emotionally, your first duty is to raise the grandkids in a safe and sane environment. Again, pray for God’s perfect will to be done.
“Not my will, but Thine alone, O Lord, be done.”
Prayers for your family at this difficult time.
Bless you for taking in your grandkids. My Grama and Grampa helped raise 3 of my cousins. They are wonderful young adults now. Grama will be 92 in about a week. They raised those kids with Christian values and it shows.
What you are doing is so wonderful.
Matthew 25:40 “Verily I say unto you, in as much as you have done it unto the least of these my bretheren, ye have done it unto Me.”
Prayers for you and your wife, for Cathy and for the grandchildren.
The Lord will hear and be all knowing and wise.
God bless you and your wife. You are such special people. Prayers for your little ones and their mom.
May the Lord grant you peace. Prayers UP!
We are praying for you and family Mike.
