Palin cracks wise at Gridiron dinner
In an 11-minute speech before Washingtons Gridiron Club at its Winter Dinner, Sarah Palin tossed a few barbs at the gathering of journalists, comparing them to “death panels.”
“Sometimes you got to trust your instincts, and if you don’t, you end up in a place like this,” said the former GOP vice presidential candidate.
Palin, in a smart black suit with what appeared to be a fur-lined purse, showed up after a book signing in Fairfax where she said fans were lined up in the snow. During the cocktail hour, Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) held court by the appetizers while Palin set up about 20 feet away by the ballroom doors.....

Andrea Mitchell's last tweet:
"Gridiron closing parody sung to 12 days of xmas lampooning rush - and moderates - at that palin joins in with the chorus. good sport"
More here...

SB - are you getting live feeds from Twitter that you are reporting?
(I do not understand how twitter works so please forgive this stupid question)
These “zingers” are hilarious!! LOVE them all!!!
What a dynamic leader is Sarah Palin! The Gridiron Club KNEW they had a top draw when they invited Sarah Palin - and she did not disappoint them!
Barney Frank on the other hand.....
To funny:
While the Gridiron winter meeting is usually a small, low key affair, Palins appearance attracted a crowd of 195 about double the average attendance of Gridiron members and their guests.

There was a live thread going on C4P so I was following what was being reported there from members of the press who were twittering from the event. It was AWESOME..these zingers, top notch
Sorry. I knew that you were posting in there SOMEWHERE. :o)
How long before that hat is the hottest-selling piece of merchandise in America?
Yeah, I try to stay just long enough to stir up the you-know-what, and then leave quickly.
That’s why ‘exit” is in my screen name. ;)

These elites won’t ever admit what a draw it was for Sarah Palin to headline their dinner - will guarantee that.
But these are such funny lines ..,... Reagan too was known for his sense of humor...it often disarmed his critics.....she has done the same with these jokes even if they won’t admit it.
