Alabama is headed for the BCS championship game, thanks to a stunning -- and near-perfect -- victory over No. 1 Florida. The Crimson Tide, ranked No. 2, broke open a tight SEC title game in Atlanta with a solid second half, defeating the Gators 32-13 on Saturday.
The Crimson Tide punched their ticket to the national title game with a magnificent performance against Florida, the defending national champion. They pounded out just shy of 500 yards of offense and forced Gators QB Tim Tebow into uncharacteristic mistakes.
And just where does Tim Tebow fall in that philosophy?
Gilyard cried in the Cincy-Pitt game earlier today. But his teammates huddled around him so no one could see the tears. Big difference from Tebow - Gilyard played crazy out of his mind!!! That was one terrific game!
Maybe time will prove me wrong, but there’s something really phony about Tebow. No one in my family can stand him. And, good grief, it was deep into the 3rd quarter today before Lundquist could tear himself away from talking about Tebow and acknowledge how awesomely Bama was playing! Pfft....
Have a simply marvelous CHRISTMAS SEASON and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
2 National Championships doesn’t prove that he’s good? So what if he can’t play in the pros. He’s one of the greatest COLLEGE football players of all time. Look at Archie Griffin. He won 2 Heismans. Gonna say he never proved himself? How did he do in the pros? 7 touchdowns in 7 seasons. Does that mean that he isn’t a great football player? What does it matter if Tebow is or isn’t successful in pro football? Igno...
Crying doesn’t make him a weak person. He’s an extremely emotional guy and he wears his emotions on his sleeve. He put 1000% of his life’s effort over the last four years into making that team a dynasty. Also, keep in mind that he only has one game left; that would make me pretty emotional as well.
Too bad.... the better team lost. Go Horns!
He’s a Heisman winner and has two national championships and he has yet to prove himself? You’re dreaming.
Roll Tide!
I don’t hate Tebow but I do hate the way the announcers for all the SEC games I have watched this year have been obsessed with him. It was infuriating and irritating to be watching a game that Tebow was not playing in and hear the announcers talking about Tebow, Tebow, Tebow.
So, it was very gratifying tonight to see the Tide knock Tebow off the pedestal that the media had put him on.
Ingram for Heisman - Tebow for Criesman!

Well, let’s see....when Tebow screws up, the kids will be ok.... IF their parents have taught them to look to Jesus and not to man. If he, or Tiger, or anyone screws up and causes irrepairable damage to some kid, then someone didn’t do their job.....and 9 times outta 10 that job is parenting...
The reason some Bama people are smack talkin’ him is b/c they are just excited about the win....been a long time coming...and they’re tired of hearing about him...and that’s just kinda what u do in the south when ur team wins....all in good fun...I’m not for anyone hating on him b/c he’s Christian.....but they have every right to smalk talk a little...... I respect him and I understand why he cried, but it won’t stop me from using it against them to all my bama hater, friends
But, full disclosure here: lifelong Bama fan...
Bama beats Texas by at least 20.
” Rammer Jammer “
...what are the words to that cheer?
Well I also hope today Carlos Dunlap feels lower than whale s—t for letting his team down by deciding to get his party on the week of the most important game of the year (not that in the end it would have made any difference in the ultimate outcome, but still). And I hope it’s cost him millions of dollars in his stock going down in the NFL draft.
He may have, but it was based on facts... the Crimson Tide dominated football in the 60’s and 70’s, thus the name for the winners.... Crimson Tide.
I LOATH Florida. That said, I respect Tebow. Anyone who gives him grief for tearing up isn’t a true football fan and never played.
Go ‘Bama!
