Moments after pulling out of his driveway in the middle of the night, Tiger Woods drove his SUV over a fire hydrant and into a tree, causing injuries that sent him to the hospital to be treated.
The investigation of that mysterious crash has moved much more slowly.
Woods added to the suspense Saturday when for the second straight day, the world's No.1 golfer was unavailable to speak to the Florida Highway Patrol. State troopers are looking for answers about the accident in which the Windermere police chief said Woods' wife, Elin, used a golf club to smash out a rear window and help him get out.
Police first went to his $2.4 million house inside the gates of Isleworth on Friday, only for Woods' wife to ask if they could return the next day because he was sleeping.
As they headed to Woods' house Saturday afternoon, FHP dispatch put through a phone call to troopers from Woods' agent, informing them that Woods and his wife would be unavailable to talk until Sunday.
"I don't know what was said," Sgt. Kim Montes, the patrol spokeswoman, said Saturday. "I mean, (Friday) we understood, and that's kind of normal. It is unusual that we haven't gotten a statement. This just delays us to getting closer to the completion of the investigation."
Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, did not respond to a text message asking why Woods was unavailable.
Sunday could deliver two bits of information - what Woods has to say about the accident or perhaps the 911 tapes that FHP said it would release once authorities have reviewed the call.

The silence has only fueled speculation of what happened, why Woods left the house at that hour, where he was going....

So charge him with everything possible known in traffic law and tell him if you need our help again, we hope she kicks your butt cause we’re busy.
If you find it so uninteresting, then why are you commenting?
Near where I live in NJ, a guy from Baltimore came up to visit relatives for Thanksgiving weekend. They live in a nice lake community.
The guy got drunk, went out in kayak, and fell out of it at 5 am. I neighbor heard him screaming, got his own canoe, fished him out, and drove him to the hospital, where they treated him for mild hypothermia, and released him.
The cops have charged him with a crime: "Creating a Hazardous Condition."
Man rescued from Upper Aetna Lake
My thoughts: the guy got drunk, and fell out of a kayak into a lake (he couldn't swim). Why are the cops charging this guy with a crime?
We are a world away from the 1960's where the cops would drive you home or give you a ticket if they could help you out.
If Tiger's wife attacked him with a golf club, that is assault with a deadly weapon. If a guy who falls, drunk, out of a kayak goes to jail, and she skates, it is more evidence that our legal system is for sale.
How many Woods could Elin Woods chuck if a Tiger Woods Woodie chucked Rachael Uchitel in the Woods?
Enquiring Freepers want to know!
I am commenting siisyjane because I want to. Do you have a problem with that” Truth is, it still isn’t yours or anyone elses business what went on at the Woods house. Anymore than it is my business what goes on at your house.
bump!
You are hilarious!!! Ha-Ha-Ha!!
Your business is none of my business....He-He-He
"The Tiger's face... is mah case."
Poor response Ma’am. The truth smarts, doesn’t it?
Apparently the passenger windows were smashed up too. She was going after him.
Could his lips have been bleeding from broken glass flying?
I am amazed that so-called “conservative” freepers would see this matter as anything other than either too much government or an abuse of governmental power. No one has filed a complaint. There is no evidence that anyone is being coerced to refrain from filing a complaint. If the problem is the cost of repairing a fire hydrant, bill Woods for the repair costs and sue him if he refuses to pay. Otherwise, politely tell the Woods family to call if they need anything and go catch some bad guys.
I have a question...is what goes on in a public street the public’s business?
Good analysis. I think you hit it.
Thank God for all the endorsements!
As my learned Father used to comment- Whatever...
You bore me, therefore I’m done commenting to you.
Who are you to decide what we can and can’t be interested in?
Is this Soviet Russia now?

It is only your business if it affects you or your pocketbook, or if someone is killed.
We all know that this is a circus because he is Tiger Woods. If it were Joe Blow that hit a fire hydrant you would not give it the time of day, nor would it be a big thang about what went on in the house.
It would be a local accident report.
