They either planned on it as a mini-series, or at least planned to wrap up some of the details in 5 or 6 episodes in case it tanked. They probably didn’t get the green light for 13 weeks.

Each week it has lost viewership.

Chances are slight that it will get an extended season or renewal. Of course, so far, there hasn’t been much in the way of content to capture viewership interest.

V is a 13 episode limited run series. ABC is supposed to show all 13 episodes no matter what, but ... .

They filmed the first few episodes then stopped. The plan was to run them to see how well they were received. If they got a good audience, they’d film more.

They’re filming more.
